This is the horse that started it all! Dear old Libby (age unknown) but we know she is an older mare. Libby was the first horse here at the Linn ranch.

About a year before Morning Star came into existence, Carl was informed of a horse that needed a home and Libby came to live at the ranch temporarily. She took up residence with the 3 cows that lived here and decided it was fine to be a cow, even if she had to be the bottom cow.

She liked it here; she gained weight and built a friendship with Carl. Libby has had to adjust to being a horse again and being a member of a horse herd but Carl is still her favorite person and she will live out her life on the ranch enjoying the love and attention from all who will come and visit.
