| Bryce and his fellow Boy Scouts have finished building, priming, and painting the arena planned in January. They worked hard and had to dig many postholes by hand as the dry ground this year proved to be too much for Carl’s tractor. Bryce Richardson was awarded his Eagle Scout scarf and pin on August 14th at the BSA Troop 101 Court of Honor ceremony. Thank-you to all that helped complete this project. Be sure to see pictures of the finished arena at our photo gallery. |

Sadly, we lost one of our first rescue horses, "Sera", the end of August. Blackhawk Serenade was an 11 year old Paint mare who found a good home, but died from intestinal complications, possibly a twisted colon. Sera taught us about kindness, trust, patience through pain, and friendship. She will be missed! |
