Arcy Maria Linn
August 1942 - January 2008

Arcy Linn, age 65, went home to be with her Lord Jesus on January 22, 2008 after a lengthy illness.

A memorial and celebration of her life will be held at First Baptist of Paso Robles Church, 1645 Park St., Paso Robles on Saturday, February 2, 2008 at 1 pm.

Arcy was a graduate of Paso Robles High School Class of 1960. She was Miss Paso Robles in 1963 and Miss Congeniality of the 1963 Miss San Luis Obispo County Pageant. In 1964 she became Mrs. Carl Edward Linn and moved to the Linn Family Ranch. Arcy had been a member of the First Baptist Church in Paso Robles for over 43 years, where she and Carl were married.

Arcy and Carl shared a love of children and animals and envisioned their home on the ranch to become a place where youth and horses in need could find refuge and experience the love of Christ. Their vision is shared by their son and daughter-in-law, Matt and Amy Linn, who also live on the family ranch. Together, the Linn family invited the Morning Star Youth Ranch organization to have a permanent home in the heart of their beautiful ranch.

Arcy had a feisty spirit and love for her family and friends as a mothering hen. She loved to sew, quilt, knit, read and sing. Arcy and Carl would rescue dogs, cats and most recently horses. Their 1st rescue of a horse was with Libby, a thin and neglected horse in need of a good home. Libby responded and thrived with the good feed and loving attention of the Linns. She was soon joined by a a broken and tired race horse named Noah, also in need of the Linn's comfort and care. Sadly, Noah died from injuries and old age but Libby is happy and healthy, enjoying the company of more rescued horses that have become part of the Morning Star Youth Ranch herd.

Another "rescue" was of the historic barn built in 1915 on the ranch which was the main view for Arcy out of her kitchen window. In lieu of getting her kitchen remodeled, Arcy insisted that the money was spent to give the barn a new roof, to preserve it for future generations to enjoy.

Arcy's hearty laugh and sparkly eyes will be greatly missed as we continue the ministry she held dear to her heart. Arcy's legacy will live on through the many children whose lives will be touched as they visit Morning Star Youth Ranch.
